El setmanari Presència del 8 al 14 d'octubre publicà un article de Xavier Cortadellas sobre la novel·la El camí reprès, de Maria Teresa Vernet.
Cortadellas argumenta la importància de l'obra de Vernet en la Catalunya republicana i parla sobre els seus trets característics:
Maria Teresa Vernet va perdre més d'una guerra. Va tenir molt bones crítiques i molts lectors i bastant de prestigi, entre 1926 i 1935: Maria Dolors, Amor silenciosa, Eulàlia, El perill. La millor escriptora d'aquells anys.
Vernet tampoc no sembla que fos tan valenta com Rodoreda. Potser és per això que l'hem oblidat. Estilísticament, El camí reprès val molt la pena. La psicologia femenina hi funciona. L'estructura, potser no tant.
